Experience Tutoring and Teaching

2025 marks the fifth year I have been helping students in Sarasota with              in-person as well as Zoom tutoring. Mostly in Calculus and Statistics. 

​

Total of over 30 years teaching all levels of college and high school mathematics and statistics.

​

Two years teaching Mathematics in Spanish.

​

15 years experience teaching and supervising other teachers and tutors in college “developmental" mathematics courses. [“Development” Math courses cover the same material content as ninth through twelfth grade Math courses, but at a faster pace in college to university students needing review.]

PhD in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State University.

B. S. in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Tech.

 

Hobbies and Interests Besides Mathematics

 

Travel, cultures, and languages. I have spent years traveling and living overseas.

 

Solving puzzles of all kinds, especially Sudoku, Ken-ken, and New York Times crossword puzzles.

 

Biking and walking - you might find me on the Legacy Trail or walking on Siesta Beach.
